I’m Garry Carlson, an oil painter and bronze sculptor based in Vista, California. Art became an important part of my life during recovery from a stroke, giving me a new way to observe and express the world around me.

My Americana paintings celebrate everyday moments—childhood friendships, family traditions, and the small encounters that stay with us. My bronze sculptures explore character, heritage, and the stories a gesture can tell.

I paint the moments we don’t realize are important—until they become memories.
